Mass balance and corrections

Process loss = Sum of consumed inputs − Sum of produced outputs
Yield        = Sum of produced outputs ÷ Sum of consumed inputs

Consumed input, produced output and remaining inventory are separate values. Record physical losses in the process and correct posted events with counter or correction events. A reason and reference keep the change auditable.
